The EduGreen Presentation (PPT) Contest was hosted in a very spirited and enthusiastic manner by the Swayam Edu Green Eco-Club on May 7,2021, with the following goals in Mind:
To encourage the participation of students in Environment based Contests for enabling them to assimilate learningsand building awareness associated with environmental issues.
To motivate the Student Fraternity for taking proactive steps and initiatives that would play a pivotal role in improving the State of Mother Nature.
The competition saw participation from around 22 Groups who made presentations on a range of innovative ideas aimed at saving Mother Earth. Many students put forward ideas on - how to recycle aluminum foil, to start a business from e-waste, how to prepare fertilizers from food waste, initiate the use of bamboo toothbrushes, and kitchen gardening to build immunity.
One student focused on the problems related to the daily use of masks and suggested the mechanism through which they can be recycled into bricks while another student emphasized the importance of rainwater harvesting and the correct measures which need to be adopted to implement it gradually in India.
The chief judge for the evening was Prof. Usma Momin and Prof. AimanPeerzade. The program Introduction was done by Prof. Jessica Khandare while the proceedings were anchored by Prof. Sanju Gupta.
The Participants were judged based onthe following criteria - presentation skills, their content, their concern, and their drive to make the audience aware of the issues.
Based on this, 6 Individuals were declared as winners.
1.First Prize Winner - Suraj Kumhar and Shwetali Rathod.
2. Second Prize Winner - Anjali Singh and Umar Momin.
3.Third Prize Winner - Reena D and Nisha Yadav.
