The Swayam Edu Green Club was inaugurated in a very spirited and enthusiastic manner on April 26,2021 with the following Vision and Mission Statements:
Vision: To organize, educate and enable students and people for overall development of themselves, nature and society. Mission: To cope with sustainable development.
The motto, “पर्यावरणचीरक्षा, जगाचीसुरक्षा,” was proposed by Hon’ble Managing Trustee of SSCMR, Mrs. Rita Khandekar while Director. Dr. Arloph Johnvieira took the initiative in digitally launching and inaugurating this first Eco-club in Bhiwandi on Zoom
0Eco-club, essentially is a way to educate people on sustainable living options and scientific alternatives to environmental problems. The Club would aim explicitly to young people who would be target group in invoking the spirit of “Green Consciousness.”
The proceedings of the event were anchored wonderfully by Prof.Jessica Khandare and Prof.Sanju Gupta with the Edu Green Student Volunteers Team taking a common pledge to save Mother Earth and also expressing their concerns and vision for saving the Planet.
The culmination of the Programme saw the unveiling of the Edu Green handbook with the Musical score of Micheal Jackson’s chartbuster, “Heal the world”, being played in the Background.
In the coming days, the Swayam Edu green club aspires to releasea schedule with a monthly calendar that would line up with various Environmental activities to be conducted for creating awareness amongst the Student Fraternity towards taking initiatives for saving mother Earth.
