Due to increase in the daily number of cases of accidents and breaking of traffic rules , SSCMR held an awareness event at Jakat Naka Saibaba Mandir Bhiwandi.
Swayam Siddhi College of Management and Research organized a “Traffic Control and Awareness Program” on 17th August 2019. The need for such a programme was felt due to the daily incidences of unruly traffic jams and accident cases everywhere especially around the college campus. The spot for this event was Jakat Naka Saibaba Mandir Bhiwandi.
The program was held to increase the awareness of traffic etiquettes among the people and role they can play in reducing the number of accidents caused on roads. The activity started with explaining the concept of ‘ Community Policing’ which is all about providing security and help to the people at their door steps. We made it clear that people do not even need to go to the police station for reporting an incident. Their service to the community would be prompt and just a call away.
Mr. Prakash Singh Rathod, the head of traffic police presented before the students the set of traffic rules that people to need to follow and maintain while driving. Students showed a high sense of awareness and also got the opportunity to learn many set of rules that are mandatory for driving.
The teachers too showed a keen interest in the session as they would be highly benefited by the endeavor to procure driving license. The students along with traffic police checked the driving license and PUC of each vehicle that passed by.
Students tried to avoid the traffic at the junction with the help of traffic wardens available there. The students learned a lot and were able to understand the safety measures explained to them.All the students were satisfied and took positive learnings from the activity.
